A: Each repair is priced on a ‘job by job’ basis. Over the phone estimates can be given as a best and worst case scenario. Information required could be number of panels, length of the scratch, age of the car, size of the dent, etc…. photos via email are helpful, but all Ace Finish estimates are with "NO OBLIGATION and are FREE!
Q: Is there a guarantee ?
A: Most definitely. The SMART repairs come with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE on the repairs and the customer. Ace Finish recognise that it’s the quality of the repair that determines the length of its durability, not the materials themselves. Other similar SMART businesses only offer a 2 year guarantee which speaks volumes!
Q: How long before I can drive my car?
A: One an Ace finish repair is complete the car is ready to drive. The painting and drying process is carried out together. The colder winter days often require a slightly longer drying process, but the end result is the same.
Q: Do I have to look after the repair?
A: Like all repairs, the better the after-care, the longer the repair will keep its finish. We will guide you through the best after-care, which is often very similar to the manufacturer’s handbook.
Q: Can you repair my car at work?
A: Yes we can. Ace Finish technicians operate from MOBILE workshops. We come to you, either at work or home. We will require access to electricity and water. Although we do carry a silent generator, this often adds a small fuel cost to the repair.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: Ace finish mobile workshops come complete with a large canopy, with protective sides. The weather is just another day at the office for the sprayers. The elements can slow down the drying, but have no effect of the repairs. In the summer, however, the painters enjoy the outdoors nature of the work.
Q: How can I pay for the work?
A: We can accept cash, cheques and card payments (except American Express.) Card payments are subject to a small admin fee.
Q: What about the colour match?
A: The SMART paint systems have been around for years. With the recent EU change to paint materials, what we have now is an advanced product and colour match system. Manufacturers work very closely with car companies to ensure a near perfect match every time. However, the quality of the match is determined by the sprayer and Ace finish prides itself on the high standards required to become an Ace technician.
Q: Can you do insurance repairs?
A: Yes. Ace finish can provide you with a free insurance letter. We are happy to deal direct with the insurer to save you the additional stress of a claim. Once we have written authorisation, we will book the repair at a time and place which is convenient to you.
